It’s funny you end with that statement because I’ve considered adding to the walkthrough that when in doubt you should always go talk to people.
You’re wrong about the walkthrough though. I designed it with expedience in mind. Romius is mentioned the first time you walk by him to get to the Godseeker. I don’t mention Dimiara until you end up close to her location.
Remember that Romius and Romilius are different npcs. If you’re spelling the name wrong it may explain why your troubleshooting isn’t finding the detail you need from the walkthrough.
I understand the feeling that a seemingly dead conversation might seem broken, but it isn’t a bug. They want that questline to progress a certain way, and they didn’t provide an extensive explanation when things are discovered out of their expected order. Some people hate walkthroughs because they want to find things on their own. That's fair. We're all trying to get the most of what we each want from the game.
