Zombie Rabbit

In my single player game I'm on Day 5 and have walked a large section of the map, I've seen loads of Rabbits but that Zombie Rabbit is eluding me. I'n my multiplayer game we are on day 10, I found him on Day 1 and again on Day 10. Are there any good areas to find him or
is it totally random?

Talk about speak of the Devil and he will appear. After coming back from the EAST of the map trying to get better weapons, I picked up a Desert Strider but only 2 Coil spaces, I picked up and Gold Bone set of shoes with 7 Coil Slots and while running back home I heard a squeak and there was the fury bugger chewing on my ankles, I got a decent role out of him with 12% Critical and 102% Drop Rate

nice. yeah i was gonna say he seems to be able to appear anywhere there's green grass. he might have a few areas he's taken a liking to but i can't rattle them off or anything. i've encountered him all over. our friend Jenn was a rabbit magnet. they appeared at him all the time now matter where he was.

infected rabbit spawns during a quest as u have to kill it for the quest

Was very lucky to find one early game close to the research lab, but it was the only one I found in 3 different playthrough.

I just killed my second one on day 5 of a new playthrough. I try to go off road with my bike when going from central to eastern/desert, cutting almost over the mountain. You also have to keep an eye out because you will fly by them. Would be interesting to know how they spawn, 1 per cluster/zone/ whole map? Or maybe a chance to spawn around the player when hes in certain areas?

i found many infected rabbits last playthrough all by accident to.. had trouble finding the bears tho

Plenty of bears up in the mountains for me.

yea same but no infected.. am yet to still see a infected lion tho.. still eludes me

I found the mutant lions look pretty close to the normal male lions and I have to slow down and look for the bloody patches on them. Who knows how many time I drove by them going to and from places in the desert.

Caught two Mutant Lions with my co-op friend today with in approx 10 mins of each other

I only found 1 infected rabbit and 3 infected lions with zombie spawn in off. Now i turned it on to try find more.

i know im a year late but i was reading about this rabbit (i did not know about it and i did not know it droped good sh!t but i was like wtf there are animals that are zombies then when i came back (i was afk looking at my phone i saw one fat rabbie hopping right next to me 🤣

The mutated rabbit will try and kill you if you let it get too close to you.
