Katana Location in the 1.0 Build
Can anyone help me with a location for the Katana in the 1.0 game build? I have done the central grassland and desert areas and the first three boss locations but can't seem to find one. Is it all down to loot RNG and I have just been very unlucky?

You mean the old skool Katana? Can't directly link screen shots, but I uploaded one to snip board. This is the one before uniques, so if you're talking about the unique that's sorta like it, iirc, it's in the quest chain.

Thank you for the response. I don't know about previous versions or old school versions of the Katana as I only started playing NOTD after the 1.0 release. I've just seen it in uTube video's and wondered why I couldn't find it.

Has it been taken out prior to the 1.0 release? It would be shame if it has.

You might be talking about the "Torture Knife" that you get during the quest chain. It looks like a Katana, but isn't the actual named Katana that used to be in game a long time ago. There's also a yellow (non unique) sword called Kodichi (I'm certain I spelled that wrong) that looks a lot like one too, but I doubt anyone you were watching would have been using.

The common katana isn't in the game anymore.
As Felonius said, you can get a unique one following the quest leading to the 4th boss.

The kodachi isn't so bad, but I used it pre-1.0

It's just that it don't have weapon mod slots and no unique bonus, kinda like my old favorite the Lightsaber (back when they were red and called Lightsaber, not this blue plasma sword crap lol)

The kodachi doesn't have slots anymore ? I know I used it a year ago, and it had 3 slots for mods.

Oh, it probably does then. I haven't even really looked at it forever. Probably just that it doesn't have a unique bonus and the over all nerf to 2 handed weapons that made it seem lack luster. Now I'm wondering if plasma swords have weapon part slots too. I'll have to check later.
