Reset Unique Item Quest

I got a quest from Walter to rest a unique item. Have no idea how you do this?

you give him a unique item and he gives you one back with different stats.

when you talk to him and click to complete the quest there's a little box you can drop the item into.

i've never actually done it i'm just trying to help based on how i've heard others describe the process lol.

Only thing is there's no guarantee of the quality. Yesterday I traded my followers 5-slot holed canteen and got a 2-slot with much worse stats. I would wait for a lesser quality item to trade in if you like what you have.

There are certain things you gotta click on once you give him whatever he is asking for .
But save your game before you give him whatever he wants .
