spinning back kick and roundhouse kick/angle kick
How do you trigger these? I cannot seem to duplicate them, but they happen all the time. Normally I get a front push kick, then maybe a chop of the knife/sword, then sometimes I get the spinning back kick or the round kick. Makes no sense. I know the patch notes indicated that you could get an enhanced kick after the first one but I don't see how they trigger.

I didn't play for 2 patches, then came back on. Playing a new character on a new map so a lot of melee until I can get my lightsaber. Then there is nothing but the circle and dodge dance.

here's a little video i did of doing a combo. it's not that good i mean, i didn't make real good use of charging them up but it at least shows how to do it.

basically if you attack a zombie like normal, nothing happens.

if you attack them using a kick or an "aimed stab" while the red dot is on them, then it charges 1 point toward a combo. keep doing this to stack more combos.

i don't know how high you can stack but i know that the more you stack, the more damage the combo attack will do when you execute it.

then to unleash the combo you stacked, do a kick or "aimed stab" when the red dot is NOT visible. that will execute your charged attack.

that's the long and short of how to do it. but it takes practice to do because the red dot on them only appears long enough to do a special attack on them once.

people be trying to charge 2 times on 1 dot and that's how the combo executes right away. you charged it once then used it because the dot wasn't there long enough to charge on twice. you have to wait for another dot.

Thank you for posting that. What I like to do is go to a building, open the doors, jump on my bike and hit the horn (it keeps blaring the whole time until shut off), jump off the bike, then fight them when they come out. Sometimes it is 3,4, or 5 zombies. In my case one or two might have a red dot but not the others. When I fight a bunch of them my combo is never above 1. I believe that it is because I got hit and the multiplier stops. I read in the change log that whatever weapon you are holding dictates the amount of damage the kicks do. I thought the flying kick would do more damage, but it really doesn't (although it is funny to flying kick 5 zombies if you herd them together). I have flying kicked the same zed 4 times without it dying, and it was a light zombie.

My research isn't maxed and the new character is only level 79 or so, so that might have something to do with it. I don't have the perfect coil package yet and my weapons aren't maxed and not tier 6.

yea in that case, when you're fighting a bunch of them, it's hard to target the one zombie specifically. that's when you need to do an aimed strike at the dot rather than a kick into the crowd. it's hard combat technique for sure but i think that's why devs added it. for more depth to the combat.

but yeah just keep trying at it if you want to charge up combos. it's tricky to do for sure but if you can stack a 5+ combo it's gonna do some pretty good damage.
