Beating the game question
I'm curious if there's a pressure to beat this game or if you can just kind of hang out as long as you want. I've played survival games for a lot of years now and i'm kind of used to just screwing around in the world and doing what I want but i'm not sure if that will be the case with this game.

I'm on day 4 and having a really good time actually. I was just planning on taking a look at the game and quitting but I actually ended up really liking it, especially the combat and gear. I get kind of attached to my worlds in these games and I didn't really want to leave any time soon:)

there's no pressure to complete the quests. you can save them for as long as you want. the only real benefit to working your way up to the final bosses is to be able to kill them over and over, trying to loot them for gear, since they drop some of the best items you can get in the game.

The only thing that may cause stress is that each night's wave, the zombies will gradually become stronger. Until it reaches MAX in 300 days
But if your trap is well designed, you don’t have to worry.

Wow, 300 days. Thanks for the info.

The difficulty has really ramped up in the first 5days, I can't even imagine how insane it gets. Lol

Its a game that has module settings to play however you like. You can play with no waves, change ehalth of enemies, structures, etc. Its awesome however you play.

Yeah good point. I could always tune things down if I'm overwhelmed. But I'll try not to:)

I'm loving this game, especially the combat. Awesome indeed!

just a FYI : you can change game difficulty or tweak the settings on your savegames at any time. so if you start the game and things get too rough at day 10, you can dial the difficulty down a bit before going on towards day 11. you can do this as often as you want/like.

What does "no waves" setting do, removes the nightly waves entirely? Does it void the tower defense aspect of needing to defend your base? I personally enjoy the more adventure aspects.. exploration and looting.

No Waves, means there are no Waves at night. Just that simple. And yes u than dont need an Base with Traps. But to be honest its an major aspect of the game, just advenduring around gets very quickly boring.

no waves also means no day waves

If you don't have all building blueprints enabled in the setup, then it's pretty much necessary to complete the main story, as many of the equipment and buildings are locked behind those quests. Prolly one could survive without advanced equipment for a while though..
