LF-Win64-Shipping.exe
and it can be found in the game's install path if you'd like to go verify that the file is there:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Night of the Dead\LF\Binaries\Win64\LF-Win64-Shipping.exe
that's where my game is installed, your path might be a little different.
in his case, i believe he has to create an ALLOW rule in his AV to stop it from removing that file.
you said you disabled windows defender but is there any other Anti-Virus that could be mistakenly quarantining the file?
i know it hasn't been a problem in the past but maybe something in the update is causing some AV to quarantine the file.

try most of the stuff on there. you don't have to do them all, like reinstall your OS. :p
some of the stuff you already tried so skip that one.
it might be worth trying to uninstall and reinstall Easy Anti-Cheat manually. sometimes that program bugs the game out and doing a reinstall of the game doesn't solve it because the EAC has its own regestries that are modified when you use the EAC installer i guess.
the EAC uninstall and install .bat (batch) files should be located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Night of the Dead
or again, where your game is installed.
the other thing i would pay attention to on the list is your graphics driver. see that it's up to date. if you need help figuring that part out let me know i can help with that
The steps do not make it clear as to when we are to run the game. The steps about reaving the save file doesnt list anything to try but rather some info. I am assuming after the removal of the avatar file is when the game is ran so it can convert the save file over? Is that correct?
how about updating?
go in to the game settings and click BETAS from the menu. select NONE to get the latest game version.
it sounds to me like you're on one of those old archived branches.
So I did that and now the Radio station is completely gone from the hangar, my map is covered back up and its acting as if I am starting a new game but I still have all of my gear, equipment etc.
I greatly appreciate all of your help by the way. Thank You so much.
you should have to start a new game, or you will experience great bugs. i think you'll like the new experience anyways. and yes, the radio table is now gone from the airport.
i don't think you get to start a new game with your gear.
you do get to keep the characters though.
the game is so much different you won't believe it.
have fun. :)
Yeah unfortunately, tried all the known sollutions mentioned on the forums.
are you sure that you're running the latest version of the game?
