Where do you fish for Arowana?

Tried our player built pond, a river and the inlet near teh power station, so far its the only fish I havent caught (that I know about) but its also the one i need about 10 of atleast now

In the wild (river or sea) or in an upgraded Fishing Place. It's RNG.

I found one in the little lake / pond / river bit just north of the prison.

Honestly, unless you NEED fish, I wouldn't bother. Fishing in NotD is like someone saw the fishing mini game in stardew valley, went hey that looks cool, and had absolutely zero clue how to implement it. The fish moves so fast you can't even move the bar quick enough before the fish gets away (I'm fully upgraded in all skill trees).

sadly i need the fish to upgrade, though after an hour or so and finally getting the arowanna...then finding i needed another fish...then another I am pretty much at my wits end. The fishing mini "game" is not fun, its not even tolerable. How the game testers said yep to that during development I have no idea

First, increase the skill tree to the maximum, then the fishing rod, and if that's not enough for you, go to modify the game and there you have the fish's speed and strength, just reduce it

Fishing really is easy, the only thing i havent caught is the golden koy so far, but i have everything else upgraded to lvl 9. But i also havent been but for about 3 weeks.

That's why i stop playing Legend anymore ...jst custom where i can turn speed and power to zero...then actually you can fish what you need to upgrade

dunno what difficulty you're on but I got fish that move around so fast the bar can't even move fast enough to catch it.

I play on 2575% difficulty. I have the Fish Speed set to 60 and Fish Power set to 70. With all fish skills researched and a +9 Fishing Pole I catch 50 out of 50 fish 100% of the time. The only issue I have is the rarity of the Golden Koi. I'm only averaging 1 out of 150 Bait used.

At least in German there is a mismatch in the name of the fish. I don't have experience with species and genus. However, this fish in the Geman translation is
Knochenzüngler
and the name of the scales is Arowana.

You can change it in settings.
Get to your fishing spot.
Exit game.
Tab to the left of PLAY, change difficulty
Not the first tab, but the second or third.
Two fish items, speed, and strength(??). Make them weaker and slower.
Start game
