My girlfriend and I would buy it if it had controller support.
chronically ill and need it to be able to play
I can hardly wait when they drop controller support. For now I have a game I can not play.
I invite you all to please give this a try, i spent quite a bit of time making it for a console friend. It integrates all of the game controls including the build mode on to the controller. It is for the DS4 controller but i could make an xbox version easily enough. I highly recommend this game, dont let a controller hold you back. I take feedback so if you want me to change or fix something with the profile, id be happy to help.
it should also show under the community tab under import config for the game when using a DS4 controller.
i am actively updating it whenever i am given feedback and can add / fix something. I am currently working on full D-pad navigation for build menu.
Its current state a quick summary:
- Build menu support, the build menu is mapped and your cursor will always start on the top category when opening the build menu, when the cursor is present on the screen, you may use x or right trigger to click. Ex. using the 'x' button is faster and more simple when navigating menus, but a pain for dragging items around the inventory, so the trigger is provided when needing to click and hold while simultaneously moving the mouse.
- 3 stages of aim sensitivity, hip-fire, soft pull, hard pull. decreasing dead zone and sensitivity with each stage. allowing you to turn quickly when hip firing or using melee, steadily navigate a hallway to shoot around the corner, or to dial in that long distance head shot when you need slow and precise reticle movement.
- 2 part sprint - the sprint in this particular game damages you if you continue to sprint while out of stamina, additionally stamina only regenerates when sprint is completely off. so a simple toggle produces the issue of stamina not replenishing when you forget to turn off the toggle, even if you arent moving. to remedy this, the sprint uses a 2 part activation, click down on the joystick to enable sprint mode, but you will not engage sprint until the joystick is fully pressed in a direction. this allows you to walk by only partially pushing the joystick, to allow for easy stamina regeneration without having to toggle.
-Steam overlay access is default mapped to the 'share' button while in the pause menu. this button is the inventory button while not in the pause menu.
i hope some of yall will find use for this, maybe even improve upon it. this really is the best zombie survival game I've seen so far. It really restores my hope for the niche, after the disappointment of DayZ and 7 Days to Die. Feel free to message me with any questions or feedback.
