We're blown away by the response to the game so far and so thrilled you're having fun exploring Otam & hopefully beyond!

We hear your bug reports & feedback and appreciate them so much & we've just launched patch 1.0.20 to squash some issues & add some new requested features!

NEW STUFF

Added a global stash in town for all the hoarders
Added Target Frame Rate setting in the Graphics options tab
Added setting in options for disabling camera swaying
Added an exp bar in stats screen and skills screen

GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS

Made deepstone hollow locations reveal on the map after visiting to speed up travel time
Map locations are now much more obvious when they've been cleared

BUG FIXES

Fixed the inventory keybind conflicting with TAB and not being able to get reset
Fixed the WASD keys not displaying the correct keybindings
Fixed the issue where players who had played the DEMO would get stuck on an unresponsive title screen when playing the main game
Fixed some Raven Clan Slavers from refusing to fight
Fixed some typos and UI fixes for multiple languages
There was an upside down 'H' in one of our fonts. No idea how that happened, but it's fixed now
Fixed a bug where leaving an area with a puzzle wouldn't let you complete it when returning
Odin is less of a wuss now (He accepts rematches)
Speaking of rematches, You can now fight Harek again if you die the first time
Fixed fonts not loading for Traditional Chinese users
Lazy tavern workers will actually generate gold for you now
Fixed the void bag from showing up and eating your items
Fixed the Graphics options not showing up on Steam Deck
Fixed an issue when dying while travelling would turn on slowmo when you revived
Fixed several typos found in dialog

Companion just decided to massacre half my town

Is this a bug or? my companion just randomly went mad and decided to start killing everyone in the town. Now most of the merchants are dead and I have no real way I can see to get them back. Leaving/entering the zone or restarting do nothing.

Is Omed Killable ?

Hi there I found Omed Seal somewhere in the desert, and even though he is impervious to physical direct damage, i still managed to damage him with poison and bleed, with quite hefty values at that, but he doesnt seem to die. Is he killable ? since damages register, I wonder if its worth the pain...

This game should have launched as a early access title. I just finished the main story and have to say I'm quite disappointed. There is a good game in here and I really love the art style, music and general atmosphere. But right know the game really feels half finished at best. A lot of good ideas that lead to nothing. The Ending came out of nowhere for me, as a lot of game systems were still pretty useless and the story was pretty much just cut off at that point. It felt like watching a series that was surprisingly canceled after a few episodes. If it was a early access title, I would be quit satisfied and exited for more to come, but it isn't. It's sold as a finished game and as such I can't recommend it.

Gameplay:
The whole base building feels totally pointless. I quickly leveled the eco buildings to get more resources, only to find I had nothing to spend them on anymore. Enchanting is completely useless and smithing can give you a marginal better roll of a weapon you already found, just not worth it.
I pretty much skilled only for close combat and ignored the other skill trees. I never felt I missed out on anything or that the game pushed me to try diversifying and mixing the skills more. The skills in general felt quite lackluster and low impact. All in all, everything tries to create the illusion of complex deep systems and progression, while in reality nothing really happens or impacts the game in any meaningful way.

Story:
The ending is completely half assed. You free two worlds and thats it. The big bad guy isn't defeated or anything, you just do the same thing twice and its over. No real conclusion. I expected there to be at least three worlds, maybe the main body of the villain in the last world and you have to defeat him there or something like that. As it stands, it feels like a setup for more DLCs or user generated content to fill the holes, not like a finished story / game.

Help with some missing items / areas left to clear

I was hoping I could get a hand with clearing a few remaining things - I can't find Note 29 anywhere, does anyone know where this is? Is there some respawning way to get sandworm stones? I went through all the areas in the whole desert map and pretty sure I've gotten all of those, but the guy still wants more. So I can't clear that area. I can't clear the Altar on the desert map - the enemies there don't attack and just stand around the shrine no matter what I do. I also can't get the Contentious Camp ...

Feels like a significant downgrade compared to the first. They tried to improve upon the lacking areas of the first game, but swung the pendulum way too far in the other direction.

Resource management is a joke. Unlimited free resources right at home. Zero need to explore.

Enchanting is mega busted OP. Make the most overpowered jewelry in the game without ever having to leave your base. (Turn the starter ring into two 51 enchantment slot finger nukes)

Crafting is equally busted due to unlimited free resources. "Oh wow, I have to break down and remake this sword 20 times?" Good thing I have EVERYTHING I need at home.

Exploration is pointless. Good gear will literally just WALK INTO YOUR BASE via merchants, and you can easily afford it because there is nothing else to spend money on. Then you just re-craft the gear 20 times and enchant it for free. All without having to explore

Because exploration is pointless, it just further accelerates you into the main story. This makes the already struggling quest feel even shorter and rushed.

If you decide to actually explore, the puzzles are spoon-fed easy compared to the first game. No cryptic hints about other regions you need to go explore for the key. Everything is right there.

Absolutely love it, this game improves on the original in every way. The wait was worth it. It is a brilliant fusion of genres, and has action/RPG adventure with base building and resource management elements, all working together very well. The first game was one of my favorites, and I think this one will be too.

MAC issues

Having been a big fan of regions of ruin, i cant help but feel let down by the controls for Runegate on the mac. As you cant press both the left and right mouse button on a touchpad at the same time - ranged weapons are completely useless. I also keey trying to respond to conversations with my keyboard and then realise i have to click everything, would be far easier to just use my mouse keys... Could i request a keyboard only version of the controls?...
