Crafting worth it?
Well, I did the crafting tutorial, and made a few powders, but haven't seen much reason to get into this part of the game. I already have so many casters and special abilities to use!

But, regarding the UI, I see under Drying that I have the recipe and ingrediends for Dust of Welts, but the ingredients (two powders) do not show up in the ingredients brower at the top of the pane—only raw ingredients are listed there. And of course if I switch to the Inventory tab, I can see them but then I can't drag them to the Drying tab. I tried putting them in the Quickslots, but then I can only drag one of the two needed ingredients into the crafting pane. You'd think that, if I have the needed ingredients in my inventory, I could just click one button to put them all in, instead of having to hunt through a two-row brower of inventory!

This makes me even less inclined to bother with crafting if I can't even figure out how to do something this basic. Maybe I am missing something obvious.

click on the powder in your inventory and move it to the powder you want to mix it with (notice the '+' symbol appearing), then simply click again and you'll create the dust (e.g. powder of darkness and powder of panic for creating dust of hidden terrors).
Crafting is a good addition if you don't want to use summons and play on highest difficulty imo.

And here I thought I had to use the crafting inventory to craft things! :-D Thanks. Maybe I missed that in the tutorial part....

yeah it would be good if a compendium entry for the creation of dusts would be added. Also, while i'm not much of a fan of Qol features, it would be good imo to highlight the powders in the inventory and also automatically create needed portion from the stack once player selects a dust recipe. Also, a ground item category for dropped items as in BG2 would be good so that if your inventory is full and a dust created, it shifts to the ground items so you can shuffle it back to inventory. Now that i'm reading through the compendium just a small notice that in the tutorial categories "journal" "movement" "managing equipment" "combat basics" "memorizing spells" a symbol {0} is shown instead of the appropriate key.
