The title is a spoiler in my opinion. I could be wrong. Just saying it seems like it to my eyes.
You do have extensive amounts of room to fight, so be sure to clear the area first. Once you engage combat, he'll put up a lot of protective spells and summon aid. Don't try to fight him then. RUN. You can run around in circles, the summoned minions don't have a very long duration. The barriers have a longer duration but they will eventually fade too. He stops to summon minions a few times but he'll eventually run out of those. Once he does, you just have to deal with his offensive spells. Don't bunch up your characters, which means it may be best to stick to ranged weapons while one or two smack him in melee.
From there, just whack him until he goes down. His physical resists aren't that impressive without his protective spells so as long as you have someone tanky to soak up the explosions and a healer keeping their HP up, you should be able to take him down.
Adding to the tip that you should split up your party I would say that you should maximise the relevant resistances to the characters that are going to take the most damage, which most likely will be your melee fighters. If you don't carry alternative equipment this is obviously not an option for you, though perhaps you need to consider getting back out and getting some alternative equipment.
After that it is a matter of using the healing spells to keep the melee fighters alive. You are allowed to rest so make sure you have the correct spells memorised.
