Tips for Dark Deity, or for Fire Emblem games as well?

I think for someone who has limited experience with srpgs like Dark Deity or Fire Emblem, you always want to keep a close eye on your troops. I find having variety can help you in a lot of situations--mainly covering each of your troops weaknesses and having a good answer for any kind of threat that comes your way. Also while some units may seem godlike and can take on just about anyone, always keep in mind that missions are a team effort. Don't put too much focus on just one or two units so the rest of your lineup doesn't fall behind and become a hindrance instead of an asset. While as a player you're entitled to your favorites (since you can use everyone all at once), just having a basic understanding of team composition will ensure you don't end up with some glaring weaknesses that can be problematic down the road.

I more or less let the healer girl maren fall behind had to level her up. Rogue's are a wee bit powerful Cia has become something of a dodge tank...I was meaning more this game for tips...I had to more or less figure out the weapon system the Power, Finesses, etc. I've had to reset once or twice to avoid grevious wounds but overall its going alright up to the aquaducts.

Try to memorize the weapon/armor charts. It takes a while to get used to, but once you do, it's a huge help in determining which units to send against which enemy. Also keep in mind that enemy units can have different weapon/armor types compared to player units of the same class.
If you're having trouble memorizing the chart, here's a simplified version I made:

Low accuracy is a huge problem in this game. Dodgetanks are very powerful, and enemy dodgetanks are very annoying and pretty much requires using green weapons. Low dex characters are at a huge disadvantage. Because accuracy is such an issue, I find myself mostly using green/yellow weapons. Magicians are also a huge help at buffing the team's accuracy.
Dodgetanks fall off in the lategame, so make sure you have concrete tanks as well.
You can't eliminate enemy crit chances in this game. At least there's no permadeath, but still very annoying.
In this thread, I gave every class and character a rating, so you can know which ones are better. Though for a first playthrough, you might want to try things out and form your own opinions. https://steamcommunity.com/app/1374840/discussions/0/3200369112083137227/

Yeah thief cia has been a beast with her mostly 1% chance to be hit. I've given my rogue's and archer's mostly crit weapons, I gave helena a crit weapon just cause she had a crit themed skill I thought why not build on that. I gave one mage a crit weapon but besides that mostly its been red with a couple of yellows here and there for characters with lower accuracy. Cia has been the most useful character so far and most powerful I attribute that more to my lack of knowledge in building characters and just luck with choosing a good class for her. I'm not good at building warrior's as both my Irving and other warriors are lackluster save maybe Helena as she has that crit skill.
