FE likeness bought me initially and I did paid for a kickstarter. It's unfortunate, because FE sprites always were quite clear in their presentation as to what we're looking at.
I hope they update them and make them look better.
Maybe the sprites were from some previous project that they scrapped and recycled?
If you like it that's up to you but don't spout rubbish about it looking how its supposed to because anyone with clear vision can tell the difference even the female characters look male on the sprites and vice versa.
mmm if my memory serve me right lyn and a lot of the females sprite wasnt just their head glue on a generic asexual body, they had far more personality then what we have seen in this game so far
Exactly right. I've just replayed both routes of Fire Emblem The Sacred Stones some time ago, Dark Deity sprites are absolutely asexual, not sure what Dracleos is on.
And I mean really, whichever Fire Emblem you pick to compare, be that Blazing Blade or Sacred Stones, Lyn, Eliwood, Ephraim, Eirika, or most of the secondary characters, they all have rather definitive looks which conjoins their art to what their sprites look quite well.
The map design also doesn't appeal to me too much, its full of boxy, straight paths and slightly odd terrain, and could have really used some tweaks to aid in the realism. The rogue and sage battle sprites disappoint me the most, since in GBA FE, they were some of the best designed and best animated sprites. If sequels are planned in this style, this is something that should definitely be improved on. Either way, I will buy and play the game and then leave a review once I am done.
