so this isnt intended design?
This is definitely not intended as this seems to only happen to me when I turn all of my graphics options up. I refuse to believe this is intended in a game about managing your ammo pick-ups. When I have most, if not all of the graphics options turned to the fastest options, I have little to zero issues with the controls, and the game in general. Not only that, this game also runs like ♥♥♥♥ on AMD cards without using something like DXVK or VGVoodoo2. This game is just buggy as hell.
Okay, nvm, I don't think it's the graphics. From what I can tell now, it has something to do with standing too close to enemies when doing actions. Rayne's animations bug out when you do a melee attack or press the fire button when you're right up in an enemy's hit box and it screws up your button inputs, thus probably confusing the game into thinking you're either holding the fire button or a melee attack just refuses to come out. This is what I can surmise now, and if that's actually the case then my next question is: Who the ♥♥♥♥ coded this ♥♥♥♥? That's such a weird thing to have happen in a fast-paced shooter/slasher...
Yet ANOTHER addendum: Nevermind, turns out the REAL PROBLEM (at least, I hope...) is that your monitors display size is at percentage higher (or lower) than 100%. Setting my monitor's display size to 100% fixed my control issues when they began popping up again once I reached the level named "Deep". These control issues are also associated with the Rayne infinitely firing until her guns are empty bug as well, I assume. So, if this is still happening for you go to your operating systems display settings, go under 'Scale and layout' and change the '%' dropdown to 100%. I have absolutely NO IDEA what the ♥♥♥♥ this has to do with your controls being unresponsive, but it only reaffirms how absolutely busted this game truly is, lol.
Thanks for that information. I uninstalled it a while ago, but I might give it a shot later.
It may be busted, but at least I can run and load the Terminal Edition. I can't get the original Bloodrayne to startup at all.
