Would be cool to see them asspull them in somehow like opening some kind of alternate dimensional portal. With the track record so far I'm sure continuity is at most a second priority. Anything is fair game imo
Nero... maybe? He had his role replaced with Vlov in the Tsukihime Remake, but Nero isn't 100% written out, so between still existing in TsukiRe and having veteran status in Melty... maybe!
As for Nero, his role was effectively replaced by Vlov in the remake as the Dead Apostle that's initially causing trouble before the main antagonist is revealed. He might still exist in the remake universe however, as there is a list of Dead Apostles with his name on it (as well as TATARI aka Wallachia from the original Melty Blood).
Then again, they could easily have these characters show up in Type Lumina and just call their appearances non-canon. Guilty Gear X and XX did this with Kliff and Justice, characters who were dead at that point in the story yet they still included them as playable characters. I can see them including at least Sion this way since she's iconic to Melty Blood, timeline and continuity be damned.
After all if Saber and Mash, characters from a separate franchise, can become playable, I don't see why Sion can't.
The reason is simple: Saber and Mash sell way more than Sion (at least on the eyes of TM).
bruh it's just 2 characters hold your horses
I would love to have Wallachia (I miss his crazy tangents while he is ripping his enemy to shreds) in the roster and other Melty Blood characters, not Fate characters.
About Fate, I have nothing against it. But in ANY fighting game I don't like when a guest character becomes too important, not matter how popular he is. Mai Shiranui from King of Fighters is awesome, but in Dead or Alive her participation is tiny, as a guest should be. But Akuma from Street Fighter is the main villain of Tekken 7. I don't like that, guests are okay as long as they're few and don't steal the focus from the main roster.
Anyway, Nero at least is a Tsukihime/Melty Blood character. I'd like to see him again, but if the plot says he's dead, alright. I'm not complaining, I like the game as it is and I'd be happier if it weren't so easy that we need to play on hard mode.
There are so many Dead apostles out there and mentioned but they never made an appearance, a bigger roster is always nice to have and guest characters should be kept to a minimum, MBAA had Ryogi Shiki from Garden of Sinners and she was a good guest because Garden of Sinners felt more closer to Melty blood because Aoko's sister is in Garden of Sinners.
All we can hope is that they eventually bring out the characters that people love.
Nero
Sion
Wallachia
Rysebyfe
Nanaya Shiki
Satsuki
etc
Sure, some characters have been retconned but in the remake but other characters from other games have also been retconned but they still got added into their roster.
