You don't want frame gen here, lol. Trust me.

Isn't FSR already in game, with the Dynamic Resolution Scaling option and Render Scale?

I heard they bought a job-lot of frame gen and DLSS, FSR and even some of that new PSSR this morning. Someone will be coming by with a trolley later to pass them out.

From what I've heard (but can't personally confirm), frame gen introduces significant latency/input delay, which is less than ideal in an action game reliant on timing and precision.

frame gen is always implemented with nvidia reflex and that helps a lot with latency, i played thousands of hours with frame gen enabled and i can't notice any input lag or artifacts because it literally feels like you are playing at native 144 fps, the games i tried with frame gen are: darktide, cyberpunk, remnant 2 and horizon forbidden west

Fortunately Frame Generation is another Nvidia magic, it works pretty well when implemented correctly and yes, as they said on the previous post, with reflex latency is not compromised. DLSS and FrameGen should help a lot for these new heavy games, it helps a lot in DD2 when you install it yourself.

When is “soon”? Any roadmap? Latest NVIDIA driver 552.22 also mentions this support…

100% false. People that say this are just butt-hurt because they can't afford a 40 series card. Every single game I've played, and they are all single player games as I despise multiplayer of any kind, has had zero issues and more than triples my framerate with zero image quality loss. FG is the best thing to happen to gaming since DLSS. It's a game changer.

It does. But reflex helps out. It's certainly not ideal, though. And, no, I don't think it's people being "butt-hurt" about not being able to AFFORD a 40 series card. I own a 4070 Super and I can't stand FG - I won't use it (at this point - we'll see about the future.. not really counting on it, tho). I use the interpolation on my TV and it looks significantly nicer, introduces imperceptible input lag, and has zero affect on my gpu.

I only bought a 40-series card because I realized (after 2 different amd cards) that the new AMD cards don't play nice with my system (not gonna get into it here - it's an odd situation and I REALLY wish I could have kept my 7900XT, or even the 7800XT before that, over this 4070Super, even though I've had an Nvidia card for the last 3cards/8years prior).

get over yourself with the elitist nvidia 40-series nonsense

EDIT: Also, modern upscaling tech IS a game-changer (literally). It's fantastic. But it's not just DLSS. FSR2 is just as fantastic (even more so as it allows ANYONE to use it without extra special hardware). VERY little (imperceptible in many games) difference between DLSS and FSR2. DLSS IS superior if you know how to use it, taking advantage of DLSS tweaker and knowing all the different versions and types of DLSS (A/B/C, etc.) that work best for each game. But FSR is more exciting, imo, and I think it will eventually replace DLSS for the MOSTpart just like Freesync did in the adaptive sync realm (freesync vs gsync). There are also some situations where DLSS actually changes how certain elements in games look, and many people, myself included, don't appreciate that. They do it because of the flickering introduced in certain situations that would otherwise be extremely unsightly. For this reason I use FSR in some situations over DLSS even with my 40-series card.
