didn't really think too much about it, I like the basic knight boi, Gerrod is just really good overall and Faden does quite some damage even unupgraded if all 3 shots hit.
Set 2: Faden the Heretic, Fungal Sorcerer, Western Merchant
Set 1 was what I used most of the game, set 2 was what I thought would be good against the boss. I also used the crown relic for healing. Set 2 could do decent damage between Faden's regular and up attack and the constant damage from my crow and poison was great. But I couldn't take out the flying enemies fast enough and they would eventually kill me.
Switched back to set 1 (still used fungal sorcerer pretty often) and prioritized keeping the flying enemies to a minimum and eventually beat the boss.
2: Julius, Verboten Champ, Incompetent Sinner
Equipment prioritizing the SP gauge and damage buffs. The rapid SP gain relic and being able to build up to a second bar makes it so you almost always have a bar to burn.
Sigrid and Tomb Keeper to box with the boss, used Umbral Knight's ult to try and kill the adds whenever the spawn. If one gets away, switch to set two, uppercut the boss and use sinner to dash towards the add. If it's still alive, use Julius' ult if possible to hit both it and the boss.
Then I used the homing bullet lady, the spider and the arrows for burst damage. I'd probably change out the homing bullet for more burst, but during the playthrough it was nice to have.
The boss became a cake walk, I spammed air attacks (to avoid that one attack he does where a shockwave runs across the screen) combined with Bird support, and whenever he would summon a fish, I used Floral, which would make the fish stagger giving me time to quickly either kill it if my Bird didn't finish it off. If I ran out of Bird I just switched to Wolf to get a few hits in when the fish or boss would fall down. I was attacking so fast that any damage I received was quickly healed back, so didn't even heal once the whole fight during both phases.
My set up may seem overkill... but it felt sooo satisfiying slapping the boss around like a lil @#$%^ after all the suffering I endured with the other bosses... Im not really good at these unbalanced type of games so it took me longer than normal lol
I just used Silva with Incompetent Swimmer and Dark Executioner to help with the flying adds in case they are hard to reach, but I probably can do it with just Silva.
I guess I didn't use Umbral Knight because I didn't have him fully upgraded yet.
Claws' charged attack deal TON of damage against immobile targets (so both Miriel *and* last boss). Dark Executioner is an auto-targetting attack you can simply spam along the main one. Last boss' adds were always dead from either claw attack (as they spawn in the same point you're attacking) or from Dark Executioner. Could've also picked the crow, but I simply didn't bother.
