The most effective ways of killing enemies
I wonder what are the most effective ways of killing different enemies in terms of spending as little ammo as possible but also having no risk of taking any damage in return.

For example an enemy who walks on two long legs can be blasted once with a shotgun and than safely killed with melee with no riks of taking damage.

Splitter enemy can be stunned with 6 nals and than killed with melee, I am not sure if there is a way to consistently dodge his ranged attack at close range.

I am not sure what are the best ways vs others, especially against big guys who appear a lot in a late game.

Well, if you have completed the game once you'll get a final puzzle for your next playthrough. If you complete it you will get a weapon that uses nails but basically functions like a shotgun (the knockback and such). That is by far the best option since it has better range than the shotgun as well.

In most cases you can simply blast an enemy with a shotgun blast and then hit it until it dies. This works for wheelies and the other medium enemies.
For the large ones you can sometimes get enough hits in to trigger another knockback with the crowbar just as they're getting up again. But if you want to avoid that risk then backstep and equip the nailgun and shoot it 2 more times when they start to rise.

Otherwise a Shotgun blast and 6 nailgun shots is enough to kill the larger enemies.

Yo, how soon do you get that if you start a new game?

You get the hints at the final "game complete" screen, But on my speed run of the game (1.27 total) I got it within the first 3 minutes. There's no enemies between you and the weapon.

That's neat. I didn't want to beat the last boss again for the hint so I jumped straight to the puzzle. I didn't understand part of it but that part can be brute forced lol.
