[spoilers] About the story.
I have finished the game and there are still some blank spots I can't understand.
Okay, first a gigantic underground temple that, probably, was built by some ass naked native tribesmen, okay they built it somehow. But then there's also a big underground bunker, and nobody every heard of this bunker so it was built secretly and stayed concealed all this years okay, despite this some nazi-level bunker, I'm surprised I didn't find some german gold and an Austrian paintere in there. Also this bunker is hidden beneath an enormous sewer system, that serves only a small 2 store hospital-mansion. Okay, it's here for the story okay.
Then there are monsters roaming around like hi pal. I understand that this mansion was a heart of nazi-like eugenics operation for almost a century if not more, but it doesn't explain why monsers roam freely around here, why they were created, they are diffently not twins for the ritual and how nobody noticed this ♥♥♥♥. But okay it's a game, understandable.
But then there's a humongous humanish heart of a dead god attached to a metal cross underground that is reanimated by pouring some blood, not even the right, into some stone bowls. Where did this guy came from?
But what I can't explain to myself is time traveling via projector and a white sheet or multidimensional traveling thru a magical mirror. Game gave like zero hint about this.
And those lipstick messages? Who left them? Anna? She is completely mad at this point and probably blind so it couldn't be her. Noah had zero reason to scare you, he was interested in you coming here same your father. So who left them and why?
And the living armour? Any ideas?

Personally I like the 1st half of the story much more, than the last half. All this darkness that makes you see things. Noah that at the beginning was pretending that he doesn't see ♥♥♥♥ happening around. Traveling thru the mirrors and light to the dark world. It all was creating a feeling of uncertainty. Are the monsters real? What is real? Why Emma sees what she sees, but at the end it turned to be some boring monsters and mad scientists.

So I ended up with my vision of what's really happened. Basically there are two sides real world and world that Emma created for herself.
In real world Noah sexually abused Anna and Emma, to support this I'd like to point you to posters about child abuse placed across the mansion and to the fact that he is a priest, can't avoid this thought you know, who believes he's chosen by the Lord to bring the savior back to the world through abuse and sacrifice of the children. Emma's mother is sick, it's simple, some genetic disease that has no cure yet. Emma's father is too busy with finding the cure, so he doesn't know what Noah's doing. At some point Emma's father found out what's happening and confronted Noah and got killed. In the Emma's world happening what's happening in the game, she sees herself as a young woman because it gives her strength to fight Noah and save her sister. The eye is the obviously an analogy of her sacrificing something to safe her sister. And monsters, mirrors, alive armors and twisted image of the mansion is just the world created by her damaged personality to overcome this problem.
To support my theory even further I'd like to say that certain object from the "shadow" world exist regardless in the real world, two-headed doll for instance exist in both worlds, while the real one is sitting the twin's bedroom. Whille other "shadow" world object are the twisted reflections of themselves, tv-safe for instance.
So yeah this story is pretty much Alice in wonderland with a modern twist.
I know it's not a perfect theory, but I like it, it leaves less holes in the story

But, frankly what do you think, how do you like the story and what you didn't get?

And pardon ma english

I think devs were just busy replicating old school survival horror beats (child abuse, roaming monstrosities, Otherworld, evil experiments, cult, rebirth of God etc.) without giving much thought to how it all comes together.
For the most part it was okay. Some things are just there for nostalgia sake, but whatever.

I'm still surprised that I found no nazis in this bunker.
I mean a bunker, a cult, a dead god, some mad scientists and no nazis?
How that could be?
