Constant stuttering
Hello, what is the original engine framerate of this game? No matter how the framerate is capped with riva tuner, the game is more or less stuttering all the time. I can reach 144 fps (= monitor max refresh rate) without problems on highest setting btw, but it's just not smooth at all. Thanks!

EDIT: my specs are:
- Intel Core i7 9700K
- 64 GB DDR4-3200
- Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 Ti

Not saying there isn't an issue with the game, but just curious on your specs?

I'm running an AMD Ryzen 5 3600, RTX 2070s and 32gb ram, at 14440 and run at 200+fps.
I don't notice any stuttering.

Thanks to Unity's default settings it should be 50 fps, at least it was in the demo.
This is only useful with a VRR monitor obviously. But it's annoying either way especially when most people don't notice the juddering when panning the camera and the problem gets drowned.

50 fps??? I will check this right away, but it would be aweful if that's really the case.
EDIT: It IS indeed 50 fps! Ok, that's a real letdown and has to be fixed asap.

seems to run fine for me maxed out at 1080p getting solid 165 fps and I am usually very sensitive to jitters and hitches. I have an I7 8700k and a 1080ti

Give it a go with a 50 fps cap instead for comparison. I'd be interested in the result.
To be fair the juddering is very subtle, but it's definitely there. And the problem isn't framedrops or hitches, it's the physics being run at .02 second intervals without any interpolation.

Yeah I've been experiencing massive stutter as well on a 3090 with an i9 11900k. Hoping this gets addressed. Everything aside from this one issue is stellar

There are quite a few developers who have no idea what a smooth framerate is. Really, the difference in fluidity between the cinematics of this game and then the real gameplay is brutal. For me it is totally unplayable.

Yes! we are working out some fix. It's has to be with Gandi answer, Unity caps by default fixedupdate at 50fps, and the camera system it's tided out with that. Nevertheless all the game runs at your system speed.

Reminds me of Grow Home several years ago, it also had stuttery movement due to internal 50fps (Unity) and the devs never addressed it , someone released their own 60fps mod but it did have a speed up side effect so everything was running a little faster than normal but it was super smooth without any stutter.

Not sure how hard it's gonna be to fix this game without these side effects but i'm enjoying the game either way. It's not as jarring of a problem vs. a game like Grow Home where you have full control of the camera.

Although the patch claims to have fixed it, framerate is still capped at 50 fps! You can test it by limiting the framerate to 50 fps via Riva Tuner, Nvidia Control Panel etc. You'll see that the camera movement is still a choppy mess unless you cap it at 50 fps.

They haven't addressed it yet, the current patch shows "[Fixed] FPS limit on non-gameplay scenes." but that's a different issue, I was seeing 2500+ FPS when loading into the title screen (non gameplay) and then it would cap itself properly shortly after. They probably fixed this to prevent GPU overheating.
