Give them me instead
I'm keeping an eye on 2XKO, although its live service nature suggests against an extraordinary launch experience (I believe it's only going to launch with 10 characters, which is especially skim for a tag fighter).
you dont own these characters on launch, you own a few of them, and the rest you unlock with currency in game. Its pretty bad lmao.
I wonder how fast they can add new characters with all the fuses they need to consider. I'm hoping for their success. More high quality fighting games is always a good thing.
its confirmed you wont own all of them..... so that either means in game currency or spending money.
Going to 10 base characters does set a bad precedent though.... yes i get that this game is f2p, but this could easily transfer to future fighting games...... and in a game where 10 characters are only available..... how many of them will ACTUALLY be good?
(no, I'm obviously not being serious here
Anyways yeah feels like SF6 being the king won't change anytime soon, since the same influential people have power over Virtual Fighter. I am kind of scared now.
I wouldn't be so sure. Those fuses get pretty nutty and the latest update video indicates Riot is willing to make drastic changes to the formula in service of preserving an accessible high depth fighter. It's F2P live service format also gives them more leeway to be experimental. On top of that, it has a unique element in the 2 player team format.
I became a convert after trying it at EVO, but only time will tell if it can deliver on its promises.
