So... Which is it that will "kill" SF6 next?
Because not that dead-before-arrival flop Fatal Fury, for sure.

Which one is next, hate boner friends? 🤣

(Yet another topic to appreciate SF6. We really take it for granted.)

EDIT: OMG thanks for the awards kind stranger!!!

Hey, let's wait for season3 patch. Maybe Capcom will go all-NamcoBandai on us.

I would love for another fighting game to have as great a launch as SF6 or better. Easily one of the most content rich launches for a fighting game.

I'm keeping an eye on 2XKO, although its live service nature suggests against an extraordinary launch experience (I believe it's only going to launch with 10 characters, which is especially skim for a tag fighter).

Aye, though a better question is how fast will they add new ones afterwards. If they keep adding new characters with a decent pace, I don't think initial roster will matter that much, especially as it is free-to-play.

you dont own these characters on launch, you own a few of them, and the rest you unlock with currency in game. Its pretty bad lmao.

Have they confirmed their monetization model?

I wonder how fast they can add new characters with all the fuses they need to consider. I'm hoping for their success. More high quality fighting games is always a good thing.

its confirmed you wont own all of them..... so that either means in game currency or spending money.

Going to 10 base characters does set a bad precedent though.... yes i get that this game is f2p, but this could easily transfer to future fighting games...... and in a game where 10 characters are only available..... how many of them will ACTUALLY be good?

Oh. That’s… depending on how it’s handled it could be bad. Eh, we will see. Free2play fighting games aren’t a well charted territory.
Tekken 8 and Fatal Fury just show how quickly to kill their own game. My guess both desperate trying getting people pay more money for their game. Trust Capcom we believe. You have millions players bought your Monster Hunter Wilds. Please don't let us down for season 3 :steamsad:

I bet Shemnue 4 is totally going to kill Street Fighter 6, for realsies guys.

(no, I'm obviously not being serious here :cgrazz: )
Only good thing out of 2XKO so far is it shows an example of "F2P" fighter, because people wanted SF6 to launch with 40 characters since Marvel Rivals had them or something like that?

Anyways yeah feels like SF6 being the king won't change anytime soon, since the same influential people have power over Virtual Fighter. I am kind of scared now.

I wouldn't be so sure. Those fuses get pretty nutty and the latest update video indicates Riot is willing to make drastic changes to the formula in service of preserving an accessible high depth fighter. It's F2P live service format also gives them more leeway to be experimental. On top of that, it has a unique element in the 2 player team format.

I became a convert after trying it at EVO, but only time will tell if it can deliver on its promises.

I have to wait and see how 2XKO is, but if it’s anything remotely to how restrictive and anti-creative (no jump-ins and crutch instant supers, monotonous and feels like CPU etc.) as pandering controls, I am out personally.

All people come back to SF6 regardless. Its simply the best fighting game. SIMPLY THE BEST!
