Fatal Fury is a niche franchise, it's the first Fatal Fury game in 26 years. No matter how good the game is, it was never ever going to dethrone SF6 as the most popular fighting game, nor tekken either.
The ironic thing is Terry and Mai are more well known outside their own games
It could quite happily find a spot in 3rd place, if the online was up to scratch, but right now, it needs a lot of work
CotW clearly isn't meant for everyone, so it likely will not be toppling any of the existing fighting game behemoths with more universal appeal. That said, I hope the game finds its audience and strikes the right balance to churn a profit. More variety in the fighting game space is a good thing.
At least this get us closer to an CVS 3.
