It's a dense game, and it's nice to see something designed with the super technical player in mind. I would like a feint button though, please and thank you.
dev already acknowledged the mm problem and mentioning a second beta.
I've never played an SNK fighter seriously but I could see myself spending some time with this one.
I didn't experience any guessing games, nor any major corner pressure; rarely any throws. Just a lot of back and forwards, and the jump in is really good. Whereas in SF6 your jump is so floaty shotos spam fireballs because if you jump they have like a whole year to dp your ass. In KOF15 DP'ing jumps is extremely rare because the jumps are too fast, it's almost un-reactable. But in this game, the jump speed and arc is just right. You can react to jumps, but they're also fast enough that it can catch someone and land a big combo. I played it in both my PC and PS5, and on my PC it had a weird input lag even though it was 60fps without any drops. Something with my settings probably. But on my PS5 it felt really good.
wait, in kof aren't you supposed to use lp against those hops ?
I'm in UK yet the game insists on giving me people with 200ms most the time, players on the other side of the World, I'm lucky to find someone with under 100ms
and yes I can filter the search to include better connections only but if I do that it takes forever to find someone
Meanwhile, SF6, as master rank, 20 second wait at best, match after match and much better netcode
It's a shame, this Fatal Fury game has potential but if the online experience is the typical trash SNK affair, it's not going to last very long
