Should we get some KOF characters in Season 3.

Or maybe even Rugal as a Guest boss.
Or do you think the game should hold of on guest characters and just focus on adding more of the core SF cast.

Stylistically she would probably be closer to Juri if her most recent designs are anything to go off of. Her kit in FF7 Remake/Rebirth works off of an install like mechanic that builds stock that you then burn to extend combos.

I don't know what the hell happened but ever since the FF7 remakes people have been foaming at the mouth for her to be jammed into every fighting game. It kind of makes sense though she does play like a fighting game character in those games.

I personally believe 2 guest characters is enough. There are lots of people still missing their faves, so better focus on that. Street Fighter has *LOTS* of nice chars.

I also believe we've got enough newcommers for this game, as the more characters there are, the harder it is to satisfy everyone with the next game's roster (not that that's possible at all).

For me, whether my fave is in the next game plays a very significant role in whether I'll play it at all.

I feel Johnny Cage, or any MK character would be a hard sell for the Capcom top brass, no MK has been sold in Japan since the 16-bit era so good luck selling a character that the Japanese audience has no investment in, in a game where the largest demographic are also Japanese players.

So personally at least I can't see them greenlighting that even if the director of the game were to bring up the possibility.

I don't realistically think it'll ever happen, but I do think there's potential in the idea.

- Harkens back to one of the oldest rivalies.

- NA sales might make up for lackluster Japan adoption (MK still sells fairly well in the West, mostly for its strong single player). NA may not be SF's largest demographic, but it's not insignificant. Might bring enough new fans to tip the scales.

- Of all the MKs, I feel Cage probably comes closest to the SF aesthetic. Maybe Kung Lao. Maybe early Lu Kang. Maybe original movie version Shang Tsung, but NRS already cashed that chip.

A long long time ago there was this two panel comic that amounted to "Pokémon designs haven't gotten worse, you've just grown up", it's kind of like that here, except they've just become bitter at heart.
