"Broken & Busted Street Fighter 6" is really "Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition." They just took the elements from Busted Street Fighter V and improve on making those elements worst in SF6. Like D.I. We really don't need that crap in SF6.
I honestly think they shouldn't make a Street Fighter 7. Unless they rehire the original producer and fire the current clown staff and hire practitioners who can puzzle together the classic version of the Street Fighter formula, than maybe a Street Fighter 7 would be great again.
The current clown and circus show is terrible and all they can focus on is money and bringing in newcomers who know nothing about fighting games or what a true classic the Street Fighter series once was.
Sad but true.
In the Millennial generation, we had:
The golden age of Disney before Woke
Sandman (Vertigo comics)
Conan
Action Movies (VAn Damme, Stallone Schwarzenegger bla bla)
Harry Potter
He Man
Thundercats
Silver Hawks
Ninja Turtles
Star Wars
Indiana Jones
Tomb Raider
Marvel and DC Heroes
Street Fighter
Mortal Kombat
King of Fighters
Tekken
Fable
among many other memorable movies, games and series.
Now tell me, what has this Gen Z and above given us? Tell me one remarkable piece of work done in this generation! There is none, just tons of bad remakes full of DEI and Woke copied and pasted on top of the brilliant works of the millennials.
It seems that now it is the turn of the "Beta" generation, I hope they bring something new and memorable to the world like the millennials did. There will never be a generation as creative and dreamy as the millennials,
I don't regret being part of the millennial generation. It was the most precious time because it was from there that the best works of entertainment, such as movies, series and games, came. These modern generations don't do anything memorable. They are uncreative people, they just keep making bad remakes of great minds from the past. These new generations have lost the ability to dream and create.
if you are that narrow minded then it explains why you don't know about great works.
There are tons of great movies for example. It is just that everything gets smothered by Marvel ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ which was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ from the very first movie.
Btw: most negative examples you mention where not created by the so called Gen Z. And most positive examples you list are not in the timeframe of the millenial generation
In 2024, "The Substance" was good fun if you're into horror. If you absolutely need something upbeat, Deadpool & Wolverine was funny, well performed and well choreographed.
Every generation thinks the next one coming will doom us all. It's all variations of the classic "old man yells at clouds" meme. Not sure where "DEI" fits into the discussion either.
Capcom Fighting Jam was a mistake. SF6 was a delightful reinterpretation of the franchise that resulted in one of the most accessible and single player focused mainline SF game. That said, I can sympathize with being unexcited about their Battlepass rewards.
I like the stickers and music they give but holy hell give something to the actual characters, or how about a specific game mode during the event, ANYTHING aside from avatar stuff....
I know it wasn't addressing me, but I don't like the idea of being forced to do one thing or another for extra funding from an investment firm. Then again, I don't consider games with so much corporate oversight art anyway. They're just products, and I think he was just complaining about the state of entertainment in general.
And I certainly think games like Silent Hill, Katamari Damacy and Okami are similar, while yes, they only exist because a corporation headed by people that probably have never played games, let alone made them, greenlit the project, they still very much exhibit the team's own vision. The idea that true art can only come from a starving hobbyist just doesn't ring true.
Wow.
WB releases 300+ free palettes + seasonal palettes (not just lazy recolors but actually modified skins!) in MK1 and everyone is saying - @$$ @$$ @$$
Capcom gives nothing for the main roster and the gamers say - best game ever.
I think we all know in which direction this franchise is going.
Also, wanna bet costume 4 is gonna cost more than costume 3?
A well rounded roster for a launch game, and a surprisingly good balance for a vanilla release. Great online play. Variety of modes for variety of players including lengthy World Tour mode, social BattleHub, and traditional Arcade, casual and ranked, and variety of training features (guides, combo challenges, training mode).
As far as vanilla releases go, from what I understand this one was far above the average. We will see how it will stack up against other finished titles in a couple years time.
