This has to be the worst Mai Shiranui ever made

Her face looks like a create a character version of Mai and the graphical detail looks post PS4 generation. It looks as if someone made Mai in Soul Calibur on PS3. Freaking DOA6 which is a 5 year old game has 10 times better looking Mai than this abomination

Looks on par with the other SF6 characters. Not sure what you were expecting. Also, Mai does not have a standard face like say.. Tifa. It changes with every game she is in, even in KOF.

Most of the detail comes from the fact that Ken looks like a person with stubble that's pushing 40 so unless that's what you desire out of Mai's appearance I'd consider it a non-issue that she is comparatively smooth.

thats how they always look in world tour. i'm sure she'll be fine in actual matches. people said the same thing about terry

she does look off, but that’s how I feel about most characters in WT - they are designed to look good in matches, not in cinematics and World Tour.

I am sure she will look great in action. I remember feeling same about Terry when he was revealed.

I suspect we will, and it'll be as silly as all those other face fix mods. Remember the Aloy one?

The female faces are less detailed than the male ones in order to have that flawless, pearly, 'porcelain' skin feel.

If you're creating something people will be spending hours playing and watching, then doesn't it make sense to make that something beautiful? I'd rather they opted for traditionally appealing looking characters than something ugly, or intentionally less appealing.

Call it by whatever term, but I can't say I'm a fan of the appearance of Veilguard characters.

It's honestly amazing how bent out of shape they can get when not every single character in a game is tailor designed to fit their tastes.

Personally I feel that in a game with 20+ characters not every single one has to appeal to me in particar. I'm not going to play them all anyway if we're being realistic. If a character isn't my jam that's all right, if they make other players happy their presence in the game is more than justified. If you go in to appease just one particular demographic you just end up with a very homogenised roster, and that would just be tragic.

It would be funny if for season 3 they need to do a highlight reel of comments of people saying Manon looks trans, and then you hear the crack of the whip and a voice declaring "Shut up all of you, she's not!" and then the camera pans to Poison and she says "But I am~" (Although I imagine the joke would be kind of lost on the Japanese fandom where that discourse regarding Manon isn't happening)

I wish they never redacted my beloved Mai Shiranui. Doesn't even who like her. Doesn't even look AZN. Really hope this isn't going to be the final version for the game-play too. My beloved Mai Shiranui looks so unhappy.
