I bought the game on pre-order with the best package and it's a shame $110 dollars gets you the base game and a year one character pass without the battle pass and most ability to buy anything in the store. Again I love the game and think it's one of the best fighting games and one of the best Street fighters but most of the money for the game is just going to executive pay and investor returns more than actual development costs.
Or buy the new game coming out every year.
Yeah that argument is not gonna work with me. A quarter a match was in a time of going to an arcade which is a social event. Arcade games still exist and yes people will have to pay a quarter. That has nothing to do with anything.
If you want to argue that people had to upgrade every year, that's the dumbest logic and maybe you will find a few times a company did release two games back to back in a year but that's not even close to the norm. There is no way 4 characters at 50.00USD is even close to being worth another game. People didn't really even buy the rehashes after awhile and were sick of waiting for SF 3. Mortal kombat and others all came out every few years.
Finally, you are arguing a point that is proven wrong. Game developers are getting laid off left and right because there is no stability. They don't even have the resources most of the time to develop with enough time and resources. Yet the budgets are 100,000,000USD now? So where is the money going? It's going to develop the micro transactions and marketing to influencers which is what you are defending! The money is going into executive CEO and C suite professional bonus checks of over 3 million dollars per person. It's going to anything BUT game development. So keep drinking that koolaid and simping the illogical talking points that actually do nothing for the consumer AND for the game industry developers and artists.
Get if off site as a bundle deal with the first season it should be around 35 bucks on sale. I think I paid 36 bucks myself or around there.
You waiting for a main from a previous entry then? Which one?
KoF 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, and then they finally missed a year. A single year.
Street Fighter 2 had 5 editions released in 4 years, you can do the math.
Alpha 1 and 2 came out in 95, 96, and 3 came out 98 with SF3 1 & 2 stuck in the middle releasing in 97.
Finally, third strike came in 99.
Whew, KoF made things so much easier lol.
Idk the development history of MK or any other fighter. Yes, most of these are arcade releases, still expensive and they still had existed as individual buys.
