This is really a let down.
It was not. KoF has never had guests from outside SNK, and that's despite having massive rosters. I don't think Guilty Gear has either. Nor Virtua Fighter, although that went inactive before this became a big craze. It's mostly just Namco games and Mortal Kombat, then DoA and the last Samurai Shodown dabbled in it. The only thing separating Capcom is they created a side franchise for mixing Street Fighter with collaboration characters, otherwise Street Fighter has had by far the most guest characters.
