What sort of controller works best?

I mean... excluding a fight stick kind of set up like the arcade games.

The controller I have right now is some logitech thing that looks like a PS3 controller. Would that even have sufficient buttons or would I need something more modern?

saturn controller, then series x, then whatever works for a shoryuken input

In term of durability, Logitech ain't gonna hold up for long. I learned this hard way when playing intensive input game like rhythm gerne.

I bought dualsense5 in the end and it survive until now without error.

my weapon of choice: 8BitDo M30 Bluetooth Gamepad. styled after the japanese version of the sega saturn. really good joypad. eventhough it states bluetooth, it can be used with a usb-c cable on pc and consoles.

So, something modeled on the ps3 controller should still physically have enough buttons at least? I'm really not much of a gamepad kind of guy, so, struggling here, lol. Mostly just wondering if I need to get a new one or not.

It should, but it no doubt has a garbage dpad.

Use whatever you want to get used to. Keyboard, controller, arcade stick, guitar hero, etc...

I used to be die hard stick player, but loving modern controls. Don't think I'll be shopping for another. Using regular XBONE controller.

Is the Steam controller worth a flying ----? I've dragged my feet on upgrading controllers just because I'm so used to the ps3 form factor. So, not sure about good controllers these days.
