Kind of a let down they have dumbed it down for mainstream youth culture to grab sales. Cheapened the brand.

Bright neon/cyberpunk/urban culture and lots of focus on image. Where as fighting is all about discipline and honour a code - it couldnt be further away from the backdrop they have gone with.

MK1 is looking a lot more promising in that regard, though I prefer the gameplay of Street Fighter.

SFIII already had a lot of urban culture inside. Fighting/discipline/honor code belongs to martial arts, not fighting games.

On top of that, the game is overly sexualised with women wearing nothing/skin tight clothing and lots of sexual innuendos. It is just unnecessarily polarising.

Why bring in this extra noise into the game.

yeah, the art style on this game looks bad. I don't like the new characters either, they all look ugly for some reason. Looks like this one is a skip.

I'm fine with skin tight clothing. That's traditional street fighter. But what's with all the random blast of poor color choices on the screen? And why do the characters just look bad now? something's wrong with this one.

I am also really offended by street fighter 6, just let me graphically rip a characters brain out through their nose in dark and drab colors. Where is the honor in neon pink and blue?!

I am not "youth culture" and I really like SF6 art style and design direction, so I don't see it as older x younger players thing.
Capcom is aiming for everyone, but obviously you can't please everyone. Let's see how it goes, but I assure you many older players also like the direction Capcom is going.
