80% of my loses are because of bad input
Does anyone have any personal tips for more consistent inputs apart from just practicing?

I use a fight stick, and it sucks that at times I could've used an SA it didn't trigger. I really struggle with double quarter circles, I can easily do even 720 spins with Gief but I think I might be cursed when it comes to DQCs.

Sucks being stuck in Silver despite me playing all-day

Unfortunately, the only way to become good is by practicing, even though it may sound redundant.

You're probably not practicing correctly. Regarding your left hand, make sure that your grip on the joystick is consistent (meaning that you hold it the same way and don't change it during the game).

When it comes to executing commands, when practicing, avoid button mashing in the middle of a combo (even if it seems to work most of the time). Try to make your execution as clean as possible by pressing only the minimum number of buttons required to execute the command. It's challenging, but it will undoubtedly improve your precision.

The most important thing is to bring this mindset into real matches. When you fight, focus on making your execution as clean as possible, even if it leads to losing many fights. Play to learn, not just to win. Eventually, you'll acquire muscle memory and be able to execute cleanly without even thinking about it.

Check if you are hitting the attack button too early in training mode. That's what was happening to me anyways. It wasn't the DQC movement - just the timing of the attack button.

use keyboard for directionals and fight stick buttons for rest

When I play Strive I often see how to punish enemy's mistakes, but I cannot do it because my inputs are not enough good. It is why I select Modern Controls in SF6.

There is no other way except to practice a lot. I practice my repetition input for like 10 or 15 minutes for warm up before even run casual match. Still can drop input when tension is rising

I have always strugggled to consistently pull off double quarter circles. ANd now Street Fighter 6 is a title where EVERY SINGLE SUPER demands exactly that. Hate it. :)

Practice them or switch to modern so you have it on a button. This'll be the norm for a lot of traditional 2D fighters aside from like KoF. As much as it makes me sound like an 09er double quarter circles are the easiest possible way to do supers aside from just having them on a button. In SF4 mfs were hitting delta motions and half circle up inputs on top of having 1-frame links, crazy FADC stuff and practically 0 buffer system.

try modern?

Hey man, when you mentioned "Regarding your left hand, make sure that your grip on the joystick is consistent (meaning that you hold it the same way and don't change it during the game)."

I think this might be it, I constantly change how I hold the left stick depending on the input (I give it a slap-shove when dashing, i do a pinch grip for QCF, and a normal finger grab for QCB). Imma try to just hold it with 3 fingers like most people suggest.

This is exactly the tip that I need. Thank you

Another little tip from me regarding double circle moves (as I've basically just started with a fighting stick aswell):
As soon as I got in my head that you're basically "stirring the pot" 2 times WITHOUT pause, my consistency improved by like 90% because I was focussing wayy too much on the single direction inputs (using the wine glass grip).

Haven't watched the vid, could've been said there aswell. Still hope this helps! I know it did for me

The important thing is completing the input. Take that joystick all the way to either forward or back.

My issue is that I keep doing Super Arts instead of Shoryken motions. XD

You can try rolling the stick along the inputs if that feels more natural. For example, if asked to enter 236236+P, you could probably get away with 2363236+P

Usually when I botch a super, it's because I didn't put in the final motion input (the 6 in this example) or I hit the button too fast before the input was done.
