If she puts you in her frame trap, jumping will always beat the grab, but you're open to a punish counter if you guess wrong. On the other hand, you get a free jump-in combo if you guess right due to the slow recovery.
Do you feel lucky?
If she gets to keep her easy way of getting medals, then make her like Jamie. Lose medals upon new round. I'm feeling more comfortable approaching Gief than Manon.
Her tools are pretty gimmicky if you can avoid her setups, and her neutral game is strongish if you approach it the same way you would other characters.
You have to know how and when to bully the ♥♥♥♥ out of her. Most of her buttons are unsafe so you have to know when it's your turn. Getting a knockdown on her ruins her day bigtime.
Resetting medals would mean she'd never get more than a couple in most rounds which would make the mechanic pointless.
if her medals get nerfed she will drop to the bottom of the bottom.
as it is been some talk people might see pros start dropping her after EVO (or at that use pocket characters if need be). they want to just win and other characters got easier avenues. her command grab shenanigans are illusions and when opponents know that she has to work harder.
either that or most manon players are actually just terrible
