Tournaments are a Flop

• Can't sign up: feature unavailable
  
• Can't sign up: communication error
  
• Can't spectate tournament matches
  
• And because you can't spectate tournaments, you can't comment live and discuss
  
• Big screens in the battle hub could have broadcasted the matches but we're not allowed to have nice things
  
• Tournament rankings update only after two matches (can't observe results in real time)
  
• No special loading screens for tournaments to make them stand out from regular ranked
  
• Inconvenient scheduling that prioritizes western Europe as far as I understand

We'll see how the evening tournament goes, but something tells me it'll be just as impossible to sign up.

Schedules are also horrible, like why are they not more frequent if entries are so limited?


I either play a tournament in the morning and be late at work, or I'm working, or I'm going to lose sleep just to play a tournament, assuming I can even enter one. There's no way in hell they didn't think this through, they're horribly organized.

Let me add this point to the topic too. Yeah, it's the same for me kind of. Either I play during work hours or right before bed. There's just no time slot for an evening tournament. They've got to add more options for people.

They certainly mix it up for us. At least there was no New Challenger league tournament (or have I forgotten).

They certainly mix it up for us. At least there was no New Challenger league tournament (or have I forgotten).

Leagues go from Rookie to Master but it seems New Challengers can join Rookie.

The fact that they made THREE achievements for tournaments is painfully insulting and dense of them considering it's still a non-existent function in the game this long after release.

Haha, sounds like a magic number -- who knows how they came up with. Even casual players might player more than three.

Did yesterday's tournaments get cancelled? I should've done my due diligence since I just assumed that the entry period was 12:00 (24hr clock) in my local time but there seems to be no record of them being held at all.

There was supposed to be one three hours from now but there's no trace of it now anywhere. Also let me assure you, there is ~nothing~ convenient~ about a 1pm tournament for Europeans, we've got jobs as well. And when I checked not a single tournament that ran had a full bracket in the EU lobbies because, y'know, most of us have things to do around 1pm that isn't SF6.

They had the news about the tournament yesterday in the game's news section. They automatically convert the time to your region. You can view tournament results throw the people who played it the tournament. You find them, find their replay and there will be an option to view other tournament replays. However, I don't know where to see a list of participants. I thought it was through the battle hub (before you enter servers), but can't find it now or it disappeared.

Ahh, that's right. It's just that at work I can have lunch at 1 pm and still play, but in my local time it would be impossible. That's what I meant.

You're absolutely right. Hold them on Friday evenings, plus Sat and Sun would be so much better for almost everyone.

Tournaments with connection error for me.
I'm trying to complete my Street Fighter 6 achievements and I'm only missing those related to tournaments, today at 8:00 am in my country there would be a tournament, but when I click to register it gives a connection error and that's why I don't I managed to participate, then a tournament was registered at 4:00 pm and now it disappeared from the game feed and does not appear anymore, could someone help me? I would really like to complete these achievements and also participate normally in tournaments.

If you're not registered by the time it starts, you're screwed. Everyone we'll have to wait until Capcom gets the message and fixes their probably cheap servers whatnot.

It's smurfing to want to learn a character before taking it into ranked? What if people just prefer the Battle Hub over ranked? Sets are far more ideal for learning a matchup than two or three measly rounds in ranked, and rank isn't especially important in this game anyway.

What part of smurfing and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over casuals and scrubs don't you get? All parts can only join the Rookie league. A true noob has no chance against a Master of sneaking.

Anyway. I don't even know why I'm arguing with you. You said that such a scenario would be hilarious, on another thread. Go away with your damage control.
