How to deal with cross up as zangief?
Lariat didn't hit,and also borscht sometimes get hit first when they light punch while cross up?

parry(perfect parry) dash forward or just walk forward, jump backwards with light punch or something

I wonder if it was intentional or a bug that lariat doesn’t catch cross ups.

Block
Complain on the internet until lariat gets buffed

If lariat not hitting crossups is a bug then maybe sending a bug report to Capcom could help?

Block button, also know as parry.

Perfect parry or press forward to block.
Ideally, don't let them cross up at all and catch them with Heavy Kick or low Heavy Punch.
Forward Heavy Kick can also help getting away.

Air piledriver also works wonders and often discourage them from trying again.

Despite its animation Lariat doesn't hit behind you. Hopefully a bug.

Crosscut lariat. Fortunately with its input, its not that hard to do.

Yes, a lariat after they've crossed over you.
