So like for kikoken, you can be throwing a regular punch, but holding back at the same time, then just forward+punch to release the kikoken, same thing with spinning bird kick, you could be in the middle of a jump kick, but already holding down and starting the timing for spinning bird kick
edit: this might be what people are referring to when they say "buffering"? Not positive. All I know is that you have to preemptively be holding the button even if you're doing something else, then finish the input.
Really?! Nice to know! I don't use Chun Li, but didn't realize that is a thing too
I'm not sure how she works in 6 but in 5 you can do the charge while other inputs are happening.
An easy example is a jump in combo. When you are in the air you can hold down & back to charge the move.
Then you can land a jumping attack, then go into a crouching attack while still holding down-back. Then after the crouching attack you can immediately cancel into your special.
As for Kikoken, you can do regular buttons while charging. It doesn't stop you from doing regular hits. Can be tricky, but worth it.
