Do people play with mods safely even online ?
I have seen many " lightning / shadow casting " mods for stages that I am interested in.
If I use these mods (with fluffymanager) and play online in the hub (not possible offline...) do I risk some "capcom backfire" ?

There's always a risk modding an online game, no one can say for sure.

I've been using skin mods for weeks, and tried the "lighting" one -- nothing happened. However, currently, it says online is "partially restricted" until tomorrow. which came after an auto-update. So... I dunno. I don't think it's the mods.. But, time will tell.

Well no one's been banned for it in SFV.

Seems mods are client side. Therefore only you see them.

It hasn't been a problem so far.

Ok, I remember not having any problems for SFV.
I was just wondering wether some rules got "updated to a more strict usage" hence I asked if it was still possible.

Technically... someone could install a hitbox/hurtbox viewer that works online.

But would it really be an advantage?

Nothing changed, no anti-cheat either so as always scripts such as those that read the screen and autoblock/etc. are possibly undetectable.
