download progress 99% (stuck)

whatever this patch is, it stays stuck at 99 and won't progress. I've waited an hour, restarted it twice, done basic troubleshooting, but honestly I didn't get this game just to spend half my time trying to get to it working. I just wanna fight people and that's like how I spend the least of my in game time, the rest of spent googling if anyone else is having the same problems as me.

anyways, if anyone knows how to fix this stuck download it would be nice to hear, in the meantime imma go play some KOF

mine downloaded in like 30 seconds, hopefuly ur game isnt broken now . try restarting ur pc, it fixes wierd stuff soemthimes lol. but either way the game isnt even online yet

I'm having a similar issue, tried restarting pc, router, reinstalling the game with no success

Someone on discord said they might have had success with verifying the game’s cache when encountering this problem - but it didn’t work for me personally and they said they weren’t sure

Just checking, you sure it isn't just installing the files? If that's the case I recommend you buy an SSD or two if you don't have one already.

It's 2023 after all.

I thought that might be it too but I left it for half an hour and am using an SSD. I’ll give it a longer period when I get back home

None so far unfortunately, currently downloading through steam after uninstalling again

Okayyyy so it just resolved itself for me... not sure what I did differently other than my internet speed was being really slowed down by a file transfer I was doing in the background? Very odd BUT hopefully might work for someone else?

I didn't even get a percentage, just immediatly at the title screen "Your update is done, the game will restart"

Well, okay then. Seems to have worked.

I just booted the game back up and it gave me error code 50606-1000-R1152-AAA-AAA2 about 8 times in a row before suddenly it started downloading the update and it did successfully complete this time. I changed nothing, just played a bunch of KOF, so I guess they knew i was being serious and got their ♥♥♥♥ together

Go to virus&threat protection settings then turn off real-time protection. Start up your game, once the update is completed and the game is working, turn real time protection back on. That’s what fixed mine.
