Top 8 at ceo had 2 manons, just shows ‘pros’ sometimes have crap opinions
The S tier I agree with but it doesn’t take a genius to realise those characters are way too strong
Either everyone should have an ex reversal or remove them entirely. The fact that some have them and some don’t I personally pinpointed as a massive design flaw in the games balance. Characters without, like Lily, are just fodder once pushed into the corner
Lily's neutrals and her lingering hurtboxes put her at a disadvantage when against opponents that know how to punish. Ryu's strongest pokes are either uncancellable or aren't true block strings, but I don't mind his position at the back of a tier.
Manon however can gain medals from anti airs and has strong neutral options, Zangief applies pressure just by existing cus he only needs to hit you three times. Kimberly's position seems especially weird because of her mix ups and neutral skipping tools, but I suppose her corner carry potential is limited to a point.
He's right about Zangief and Manon having weak wake up tools versus opponents that know the match up though. If you have meaty set ups they're gonna struggle.
I think he's on crack with Marissa though... insane corner carry, + with armour on her pressure tools and most of them link into hard combos.
Manon and Kimberly are A.
Ryu and Chun Li are B.
Mid tier list.
