My new pc lacks a disc drive and my old one died, I played the first Advanced warfighter PC version and loved it

I'm playing this game for the first time today, only ever played the original Ghost Recon. This game seems like one of the titles the Steam Deck was made for. It detects the Deck's native resolution, and runs at Extreme graphics. I'm working on a controller layout for the Steam Deck. Got bit by the tactical commands bug. Whenever I click on play, the steam window will come up saying "preparing to launch Tom Clancys..." and after 5ish seconds, it closes, but the game never launches. Can I get any fix for this? Ive already tried reinstalling and rebooting my computer.

are the servers offline or what? I would love to play it again, or graw 2 are there still any players?
