It was common in this time period for fish to be caught in rivers and moved to "enclosed" locations. Some species could handle this move others not.
- Nobles would often keep fish ponds within there manor area, have dedicated handlers that maintained these sites, fed these fish and selected the best for the Lords meals or banquettes.
The new engines water features (rivers) is still new to the game, lets assume it's still being tested before more new "things" can be done with this item.
- What can be placed in or on it?
- Does it effect the fertility of near lands and soils?
- How will docks, boats, and larger trade dock work on it?
- Will we be able to use it for transport of materials?
- Can fortifications be constructed on or in it?
Will we be able to "divert" small sections of the river areas to run watermills or water driven sawmills?
Still a new feature so lots to come yet.
