Information Overlays
The information overlays about the ground types needs to be available when building roads.

It would be helpful to have the option to see ground type like Emmer, Barley, Flax, Water, etc so we can plan roads better.

Using roads to separate areas of poor farming, planning roads for urbanization around underwater areas, etc.

Plus 1 this suggestion. It's a bit annoying that you have to toggle back and forth to plan out your fields.
What might also help is a keyboard shortcut to toggle overlays on or off, showing the latest overlay selected.
