Escape Key just stopped working

not sure how to recreate this or what I was doing when it happened but I noticed at some point I just couldn't use the escape key anymore to do anything, including open the menu to save my game. it was working outside of the game so it was not my keyboard. I had to wait out an autosave to alt+f4 the game but it never came so I lost a bit of progress but nothing major. I am putting this here just so it is known as a thing that happens but I can't provide much outside of the fact that it happened.

I have reported this before, but was told it was down to my poor old GTX 980 GPU !! It clearly isn't it is a BUG.

I could not identify when/what causes this to happen, but I also get the "R" for Roads key doing the same thing randomly.

Please listen to us Dev's, these are REAL bugs.

Well I have a 2070 super so I don't see any correlation here other than we were both playing the game so clearly something else was the cause

I've had this happen to me as well and I regained full keyboard control by closing some window or other. It might have been a field that I was looking at. Of course, the ESC key should close that window but it didn't. I needed to dismiss the window with a mouse click.

This is a real bug, mods. Something is amiss, here.

F5 will save the game, jup tis an annoying bug.

It has happened to me again. First, I noticed that right-click wasn't releasing the road point that I had misplaced so I reached for the ESC key automatically, only to find that that wasn't working either. I had to crash out of the program so the autosave feature came in handy.

Me acaba de suceder. No me funciona el escape. Pero se puede guardar la partida con F5 como dijeron más arriba.
