UE 5 Prerequisites

At startup I receive a message to install Unreal Engine 5 prerequisites. I receive this message every time, even after allowing the install requested. I am able to load and play the game normally after completing the installation process. But, the next time I load the game i get the same installation prompt, which then uninstalls the UE5 prerequisites. After the uninstall, the game loads and runs fine. If I close the game and relaunch it, I get the same install required message.

Any idea what could be causing this?

Install the c++ redist manually with admin access. Then it should be fixed.

I can confirm this works, thank goodness, it was driving me nuts too !,

Just unzip the download file, then use the right click context menu to select "Run as Administrator" and BIngo, you have seen the last of that damned UE Pre-Requisites prompt and its lengthy install process
