Mercenaries not refreshing in the "hire" screen.
started a fresh game with the current version (0.8.004)

brought my first mercenaries for around 110 coins to deal with the bandit raid.

disbanded them 1 month after as i couldn't afford to keep them.

6 months later i brought another band for 45 coins to clear the bandit camps that had spawned.

now when i look at the "hire mercenaries" tab it's just blank with "no more mercenary companies available this month"

either there is a "hard limit" and the baron has gobbled up all the mercenary companies or there's a bug not allowing them to re-spawn in the "pool" for the player to hire.
-------------------

i was playing on the old branch before this update a few days before and i was able to buy 3 sets of mercenaries with the option to buy more from the " Hire mercenaries" tab/screen, just fine.

there is only 8 different merc groups available, they are all first hires, first served. so yes, by year 2, they are likely to be serving the "Off Map Baron"

i guess that makes sense.

However, in the previous version i was still able to "hire" mercenaries from year 7 onwards with the mercenary options rotating accordingly.

AS in, i hired a group, disbanded them and then re-hired them at a later date.

So either the current Barron is quicker to hire from the "pool" or the mercenaries that i "hired" and "disbanded" didn't get reallocated.

I say that because i never saw the mercenaries that can be brought for "110" coins get re-added into the pool to be re-hired (over a 6 month period).

which is why i flagged it as a potential bug.

otherwise you could just hire all the mercenaries and then disband them, removing them from the pool indefinitely, completely crippling the baron.
