Giant Fallen tree blocking map
Hi, this happens very often where a giant tree has fell on the road or building and connot be removed. I tried assigning Woodcutters to specifically cut the area where the tree is but they npc just afk when I do that. If I remove the area limitation, they go cut branches from other trees except the giant tree on the road.

I also tried removing the roads and removing the buildings to re-assign woodcutters to cut that tree... but it still doesn't work.

I've seen that bug from my previous saves and it seems to follow me everywhere.

I just wanted to report this as I have a huge fallen tree in the middle of my base that cannot be removed nor cut.

Thanks

*** UPDATE: I found the issue. The tree that fell somewhat was embedded to a building ( Logging camp ). When I destroyed the Logging camp, the tree disappeared as well...

So it was a coding conflict I believe between 2 elements I guess. Now I can just rebuild my logging camp at the same place.

Yes, the tree was felled by a logger, probably one that you moved to a different area of operation via the camp's Advanced tab. I encountered a similar problem with a tree felled by a subsequently unmanned wood cutter's lodge.

Yes, sometimes, you can assign a woodcutters to cut that tree ( by limit area zone on it ). If it doesn't work, then we must delete any building or roads that it's attached to it.

I'm glad I indirectly found the solution hehe ^^

A method for removing these giant fallen trees is to build roads under them. Worked for me anyway.

Also don't forget the firewoodcutter.
Trees seem to become assinged to the building wich workers cut it down.
Have always been able to (labouriously) remove these pesky giants.
