Getting Error on start - createprocess() returned 2

Just started getting this error when I try to run the game. Anyone getting this or know solution?

Try verifying files. Restart computer and cross fingers.

Remove/exempt/whatever the file from quarantine.

Start up error, posted in bugs forum already. Doesn't seem to be anything with the antivirus though, mine are not blocking anything. Was playing a few hours ago, just fine, but now I can't start the game, with the error message:

Tried restarting Steam and the computer the first time. Verified files, downloaded a missing file, but same message on game startup. Deleted the game, reinstalled, verified on 2nd try, same error comes up when starting the game.

Nothing in quarantine here, no files blocked from a security suite on the computer. Always open Steam as an administrator, so that isn't it (but good thinking Prikkiki-Ti). System specs:

i9 13900
16 GB ram DDR5
RTX 4070 Laptop
Win 11 Ver. 22h2

The error indicates that not all the files needed can be accounted for when trying to launch the game. Two reasons this could be happening, one which has already been mentioned.

1. Your antivirus probably deleted or quarantined one or more game related files.
2. You may need to run Steam as an administrator to give it access to all the game files.

Verified game cache. Reinstalled game. Restarted PC. Added exceptions with AV.
Now it won't even install at all, saying "Disk write error"...

me too but i went into my av and restored the missing file and now it runs fine

Yes this was the issue thanks. My anti virus had quarantined a file. I had to restore and create exception for it

Yea, not the only one. Apparently someone updated something somewhere.
It's happened to more then a few people with Manor Lords...
Ironically, their first response is usually 'But my AV didn't do any updates'... Like, it doesn't even tell you most of the time, so.... PLEASE TO CHECK ANYWAYS *sigh*.

Fixed it by checking the quarantine on my antivirus.
