Large Town encommpassing Manner Outerwall Issue

Not Sure if this has already been brought up somewhere, but i have come across a problem While extending my manner outer wall to surround my town i noticed that i was not able to select certain buildings anymore if they were on the outskirts close to the wall, instead i would just select the manner. Is it possible to shrink the selection box of the walls so that they do not overlap with the buildings when expanding? or make it so you have to select the actual manner itself to bring up the pop up menu?

That is not what the manor wall is for. Only encompass your Manor. Village / Town outer walls are coming later in the EA cycle.
