Not enough stable space bug

I bought an ox with the basic hitching post, and it warned me not enough stable space.

so I built another hitching post, and it still has given me that error, without giving me the ox I purchased.

I then tried to upgrade the existing hitching post to a stable, thinking maybe the ox is bound to that, and it still has not given me the ox I purchased, and the warning is still there.

I have encountered the same bug. The ox is bugged outside of the map (area I cannot access, but I can see the ox standing there). It started because I ordered an ox while building another hitching post. Now I cannot even delete that hitching post, just relocate it, but my ox is still not arriving. Even upgraded my first hitching post, but still not working. Shows 2/2 but the ox is always "following" but standing outside of the map.

Anything involving oxen is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ for me, making the game literally unplayable once I buy a second one.

same here. Great looking game but bugs like this prevent from enjoying the game. May come back to it after few months of fixes.

Yup, I've got this bug as well. Although I do seem to have both oxen, it keeps telling me that even with 2 upgraded hitchingposts to stables I don't have enough space.

I have a ton of bugs, stable space, storage space, pasture space, pantry full. I have a bunch of empty storehouses, pastures, stables, with people running them, and these notifications will not go away.

I have two oxen but 3 hitching posts.

I think I'm having the same, with about the same initial cause - ordered an additional ox from my first hitching post, saw the warning, so built another hitching post. The "need more sable room" warning never went away though, and eventually one ox vanished. Also, after relocating both my hitching posts and ordering a replacement ox, I'm now getting that warning x2, so it seems like the posts may not be registering as a slot for an ox if they've been relocated.

I reloaded the Autosave file and the notification was gone. That fixed it for me.

me too, also after raid attack got tons of more bugs like there are empty houses but people are homeless!

i had a similar error with two stables

* move your hitching post to desired location
* upgrade hitching post
* buy 2nd ox
* build a new hitching post, & upgrade it, & buy 3rd and 4th ox
* move first stable to new desired location
* move second stable to new desired location
* while relocating, see "Not enough stable space" warning, as expected
* click on relocated Stables, after they are done being rebuilt
* all oxes are properly allocated to a stable
* yet, the warning remains <--

Easiest fix I have found for this is to just save and reloading the game (either whole restart or just reloading what you just saved through the menu). This gets rid of the error at least. Idk if it fixes the ox being missing. Personally I have not noticed any of my cattle missing so :shrug:

I just want to point out to everyone that finds this, saving and reloading currently fixes many issues. One of the the other things that was big for me was that it fixed the homelessness bug after a fire. Once I save/reloaded they moved into a new home without issue. Does not work every time, but it is worth a shot for any of these odd things you run into at this time.
