There's a function key on most if not all laptops to change what monitor you are using.
(main or remote)
- Think it's Function F4 maybe. It will be on the F key just look for it.
There should be a F key with 2 small monitors on it. That will set the priority monitor.
For the OP;
- are you running the game on just one monitor or using 2 for the game?
- If 2 then you need "Span" the monitors (surround) - double screen wide.
- If one then it needs to be on the #1 monitor as it has priority, normally.
Try unplugging and plugging in the mouse while in game.
- Give it the few seconds to ding dong as it finds the mouse and activates it.
- And check the battery.
Disconnect any other accessory not being used for the game, say a gamepad or joystick.
Think you'll have to go into the settings menu, display settings
- Tell the main system that it has only one monitor.
- And that monitor set to the correct resolution
Probably was initially, two different resolutions from the 2 screens.
- one screen resolution the smaller than the other, so mouse and actual pointer location not matched?
Users\(yourPCname)\AppData\Local\ManorLords\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
and see if there might be any settings that could maybe be a factor. Many of them will be blank/empty but I think in Settings.ini you could change what resolution the game would open with, as example. GameUserSettings.ini might also be a place. Not sure where any mouse or other display type settings might be. But it would be a way to look at/make changes to such without having to open the game.
Edit: I'd advise making a backup of that folder somewhere, just in case you alter any .ini that makes it even worse. :P
EditEdit: Appdata is one of those "hidden" folders so you have to hidden folders visible in O/S settings, at least to see them via File Explorer.
